ECONOMY PACKAGE

While travel can be expensive, it certainly doesn’t have to be. For the budget conscious traveler, we put together some tips and ideas, including economy accommodation, transport, and optional activities to ensure that your budget travel adventure delivers to you an unforgettable travel experience.

  • Accommodation: Standard hotels and safari camps that offer basic amenities like a good bed and a bathroom, and most of them are en-suites. Though they are basic, the services offered are good and the service area is clean.
  • Hotel/Lodge: Fisi Camp or equivalent.

MID-RANGE PACKAGE

This is for the cost-conscious travelers who allow themselves more flexibility in what they spend for their holidays and safaris. They allow themselves some leeway to spend a little extra here and there. They can miss out on some activities or some level of luxury to go for something they feel is worthwhile, making the most of their travel experience.

  • Accommodation: The facilities and the services are much better that the economy type. The beds are bigger, much better and variety of food, and amazing services. Ultimately, they are more comfortable that the economy option.
  • Hotel/Lodge: Sopa Lodge or equivalent.

LUXURY PACKAGE

This is for the traveler who wants exclusive, unique, and more personalized services. If you are willing to pay more for premium accommodations, transport, services and optional activities, these packages are made with you in mind.

  • Accommodation: High-end hotels or boutique resorts, luxury safari camps and private villas with spacious rooms, stunning views, premium amenities and personalized and services. Normally 5-star hotel or equivalent.

You will discover the beauty of Kenya in its capital city Nairobi, it’s world’s famous Maasai Mara National reserve and the white sandy beaches of Mbita overlooking the beautiful Lake Victoria.

In Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, also known as the green city in the sun, you will have amazing tours to two of the world-renowned wildlife conservative centers: the Elephant Sanctuary and the giraffe center. You will also have a drive to the “World’s Wildlife Capital”, the Nairobi National Park. You will also get to know the diversity of the Kenyan culture by visiting the bomas of Kenya. A tour to the Maasai Market will expose you to a wide variety of African artefacts. At this open-air market you can find curios, paintings, drawings, clothes, and fabrics with African prints, jewelry, and wood carvings, many hand-made in Kenya by local artisans. Lastly, a visit to Kiambethu Tea Farm on the outskirts of Nairobi for lunch and a tour of the farm.

You can’t miss a dinner/lunch in the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant.

Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated safari destination due to its world-famous wildlife spectacle, the great wildebeest migration.  Here you will see the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, lion, leopard, African buffalo) and enjoy the world-famous wildebeest stampede spectacular view (July to October) among other safari adventures that the park offers.

In lake Nakuru you will enjoy a wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic, and game drives.

You will crown your holiday by discovering the magic of Kenya at the Victoria Sands Lodge. The Lodge is conveniently situated on the white sandy beaches of Mbita overlooking the beautiful Lake Victoria, stuck in between the mountains of Mbita and Sindo. It’s just a place to relax and unwind. Here, you will enjoy the most relaxing and comfortable stay in tastefully furnished rooms and suites offering spectacular lake, pool and garden views.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

  • The driver/tour guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
  • You will have time to rest and have your breakfast and lunch in the hotel.
  • After lunch, you will visit the Maasai Market, where you can buy all your souvenirs and gifts in one go, but get ready for some serious bargaining.
  • Later you will have dinner in the World’s famous Carnivore Restaurant.
  • Overnight at your hotel.
  • Meal plan: Full-board.

DAY 2: NAIROBI

  • The driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. It is an elephant nursery that offers a haven to orphaned baby elephants which are rescued from parks and reserves in Kenya. You will see how they take care of the young elephants, rhinos, and other animals until they are old enough to be released into the wild.
  • You will leave the center at noon and break for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, you will have a game-drive in Nairobi National Park. Here you will witness the picturesque wide open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bushes and a variety of wildlife and diverse birdlife.
  • From Nairobi National Park, the driver will take you back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
  • Meal plan: Half board.

DAY 3: NAIROBI

  • After an early breakfast at the hotel, the driver will take you to the giraffe center. It’s a nature education center and a conservation home for the Rothschild Giraffe. Here you will come in contact with the magnificent creatures, learn about their behaviors and traits, and get to know why they are endangered. You will also have a chance to feed them under the supervision of a trained staff. There’s a Nature Trail at the Sanctuary at no extra cost. It’s a serene 1.5km stroll where you can see up to 60 species of birds and other smaller animals like dikdik and squirrels. You can have some refreshments and some mingling here and there with the other visitors or pop into the Daisy Zoovenir Shop for some gifts to wind down your visit at the centre.
  • Break for lunch.
  • In the afternoon you will visit the Bomas of Kenya. This is a cultural hot-spot where you will live and learn about the fascinating range of cultures in Kenya.You will enjoy traditional dance performances, songs, and folklore during your visit here. A jaw-dropping acrobatic show is the highlight of the tour.
  • From the culture center, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
  • Meal plan: Half Board.

DAY 4: KIAMBETHU TEA FARM

  • The driver will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Kiambethu tea farm in Limuru.
  • Here you will have a walk in the indigenous forest and a guide will help you identify the plants and explain to you how they are traditionally used.
  • You will also have an up-close encounter with the colobus monkeys in the gardens with a wide variety of birds and flowers.
  • Return to the house for a pre-lunch drink on the verandah with the sweeping views across the tea fields to the gong hills. Lunch will be served at about 1 pm.
  • Leave the farm after lunch and drive back to Nairobi for a city tour in the afternoon.
  • Dinner and overnight in your hotel.
  • Meal plan: Half-board.

DAY 5: NAIROBI-MAASAI MARA

  • After an early breakfast, the driver will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel and drive you to Maasai Mara through the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, the largest valley in the world. You will have a scheduled stop at one of Kenya’s gems, the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, for a spectacular view of the geographical features on its flour below.
  • You will cross the rift valley floor and drive on to the Loita plains, arriving in Maasai Mara in time for lunch and a short siesta before going out for an evening game drive until dusk.
  • Look out for the big five and don’t miss the magical Mara sunsets.
  • Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
  • Meal plan: Full board.

DAY 6: MAASAI MARA

  • Wake up to an early morning breakfast and depart for an early morning game drive. Early morning game drives have the best chances to see a Lion Kill and a Leopard ambush as the animals look for their breakfast.
  • Due to the wet grass, most predators avoid the savanna grass and may be found walking on the game drive tracks. This makes it easy to view them at close range just next to your vehicle.
  • You will enjoy a full day game-drive with picnic lunch at the mara river migration bride area where you will witness a lifetime spectacle of the crocodile infested Mara River as they prey for the wildebeests and the gazelles as they try to cross the river (July-October) and the big five among other wild animals.
  • Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
  • Meal plan: Full board.

 DAY 7: MAASAI MARA – NAKURU

  • At dawn, you will have an option to do a hot-air balloon safari (at an additional cost).
  • You will be able to silently fly over the large groups of wild animals and along the Mara River as the sunrise unfolds before landing for a well-set breakfast in the middle of the Savannas.
  • The flight lasts for an hour and it’s an amazing experience to see the wildlife from the sky.
  • After breakfast, you will leave for a visit to Masai village for a cultural experience. At the Masai village will have an amazing moment of dancing with the Masai people, their world famous traditional jumping dance, the Adumu dance.
  • You will go back to the Lodge for lunch and then start your road trip to L. Nakuru National Park.
  • Arrive and check-in to your lodge in time for dinner and relax for the night.
  • Meal plan: Full board.

DAY 8: NAKURU

  • Arise to the African sun glittering on the waters of L. Nakuru to enjoy an early breakfast and depart for a morning game drive.
  • Lake Nakuru is ideal for bird watching due to its huge bird population. It’s a bird watchers paradise and the pink heart of Kenya due to the mass number of the pink flamingos in L. Nakuru. At the peak of flamingo season, you can see more than 2 million lesser and greater flamingoes.
  • Nakuru National Park is home to over 450 birds’ species and was originally protected as a bird sanctuary.
  • This Park doubles up as a bird sanctuary, black & white rhino sanctuary and the endangered Rothschild giraffe sanctuary. It is known for easy sightings of white rhinos and leopards.
  • Return to the lodge for lunch and then have a short siesta before going out for an evening game drive until dusk.
  • Evening game drive along L. Nakuru looking out for lions, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, striped hyenas, klipspringer, among others.
  • In the park you will enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats.
  • Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
  • Meal plan: Full board.

DAY 9: NAKURU-LAKE VICTORIA

  • Arise to enjoy an early breakfast and then drive around the lake looking out for elusive animals enroute L. Victoria.
  • Lunch on the way.
  • Arrive and check in at Victoria Sands Lodge.
  • Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
  • Meal plan: Full board.

DAY 10: VICTORIA SANDS LODGE

  • Here you will relax and unwind in comfort, design, and luxury.
  • They have tailor-made choices of activities for every guest to make their stay the greatest one of them all.
  • The activities include but are not limited to:

  2. Swimming in the Lake.
  3. Indoor and Outdoor Dining with amazing, tasty dishes. They have an in-house Chef.
